If you've purchased one of our copper jewels, you may have noticed that Copper jewelry is quick to tarnish, but the good news is this metal is easy to clean and restore to its original shine.
Here are some simple DIY, affordable and good for the earth ways to clean your copper pieces.
Make a solution out of warm water, a few drops of lemon or lime juice, and a teaspoon of salt. Mix it thoroughly.
Dip the tarnished copper jewelry into this solution. Leave it there for a couple of minutes.
Remove the jewelry and rinse thoroughly. Repeat if some tarnish still shows.
Step 4 – Use Baking Soda
Dip the jewelry into the baking soda solution. Allow it to remain in the bowl for about a minute. This helps to neutralize any traces of the lemon juice. Remove the jewelry and run plenty of cold water over it once more. Be sure to flush away all the baking soda.
Take your well rinsed copper jewelry and dry it with a soft cloth.
This is the process I use with all my pieces before they get shipped off to you.
Using a jewelry polishing cloth to buff the jewelry is also an awesome way to bring a quick shine without having to do the more extensive clean.
Polishing cloths will be available to purchase through the site really soon
